I will be so very honest with my Puddins, I have never been a fan! I have never seen the appeal - outside of that one spit video that DID make me question my stance - however, I have known SO many people who have driven the Songz train over and over and over again. Yet, here we are with an artist that has several allegations of sexual assault, violence, and sexual coercion spanning over a decade, several lawsuits, and a few settlements worth millions of dollars, ALL to come to a new lawsuit in which Megan Johnson says Trey Songz assaulted her in a VIP tent in Connecticut back in 2013. Is he Robert Kelly Junior?
Johnson claims that while in a VIP tent at an event - Foxwoods Liquid Sundays with Trey Songz - she was waiting to take a picture with Songz when he came from behind her and pulled her breast out of her top while chanting,
"Tittie in the open!"
Johnson's friend was filming in anticipation for the photo op and ended up catching the incident on camera. Take a look:
Johnson's attorney's have stated that the lawsuit comes as the resurfacing of this video has triggered Johnson's memory. Johnson claims that the embarrassment and emotional hardship of this moment caused her to forget this incident and this video brought it back to her remembrance. This also happens to be the claim Johnson's attorney's are using to bypass Connecticut's 3-year statute of limitations law as well.
Now, since this video has come out, all the IG therapists have tried to diagnosis the situaion by saying that Johnson was smiling and was obviously unbothered while others advocate that laughing and smiling could be a defense mechanism due to trauma. I don't care either way! What I DO care about is a grown ass man making the non-consensual decision to invade someone's body and expose them!
In 2017, Keke Palmer came under an incredible amount of judgement - I, admittingly, being one of the culprits - when she expressed Songz invasive coercion in trying to use a video of her at a party for a project. Palmer claimed she was so uncomfortable, she hid in a closet to get away from Songz. Let me be the FIRST to say, Keke Palmer, I am SO VERY SORRY!!! We laughed, we made light, and we did not know that back in 2012 Songz blacked a woman's eye out when throwing a wad of money at her. In 2018, he was arrested in his home for domestic violence. The same year, two women claimed Songz tried to finger them without consent in a Miami nightclub. This resulted in a settlement for one of the women in the amount of $10 million in 2021. In 2020, during a podcast, two more women alleged that Songz attempted to trap them in his home by taking both their phones - throwing one of the phones over his balcony. The women claim that he coerced them into doing "things" while one said that Songz urinated on her without consent.
And if all of that wasn't enough, just as recently as February, anther lawsuit is being made as a woman claims that Songz anally raped her after she refused him sex during a consensual relationship the two were in. A medical exam concluded that the woman had suffered severe anal tearing and she is seeking $20 million from the singer.
So, what say you? Are Trey Songz demons coming to light and readying him for justice? Are these allegations just that? Allegations from women who want a good payday? Wherever you stand on the issue, one thing - for me - is for sure, I won't be looking to start any Songz support groups anytime soon. If the Pied Piper of R&B can be jailed, so can the name of the man the neighbors seem to know!

Now I am not a fan of his nor will I judge any of these women but what I will say is this...If a man has show you who he is, why are women still flocking to him. Also why are these women just seeking money. Why not get him arrested and have criminal charges pressed against him and then go after his money. I feel like sometimes people may look for a quick pay day so they will meet with these violent celebrities and almost put their life in danger. I mean look at R. Kelly. People kept going back to him even after he peed on a teenager.
